The Advisory Board Meeting of Confucius Institute of University of Botswana(CIUB0 was held at SHNU on May 22nd and Doreen Ratu Ramogola-Masire, Vice President of University of Botswana (UB) attended and delivered a speech at the conference. The participants also included representatives from SHNU ICCS (International College of Chinese Studies, School of Humanities of both SHNU and UB, and Botswana Ministry of Education, etc.
Jiang Minjun, SHNU Vice President, brought up three suggestions at the conference: innovative reforms, management optimization, and sustainable development are required to integrate Chinese language education into more efficient management means. Ramogola-Masire also appreciated the cooperation and friendship between the two universities of SHNU and UB, and hoped that more routes of development should be guided under innovation and that more education resources in terms of teaching methodology, scientific research and enterprise development should be shared among the bilateral sides.
The 2022 financial report and work report from Chinese and foreign deans of Confucius Institute of UB were launched and the 2023 work plan has been probed at the conference. Discussion has centered around ways of promoting the management structures and facilitating the interscholastic cooperation.
