Introduction to the Speaker:
The duality between the Lagrange translation formula and the Taylor series expansion is a cornerstone of classical analysis, beautifully linking exponential differential operators to global translations. But what happens when we move to the $q$-analog world? As it turns out, $q$-translation behaves quite differently, breaking away from traditional Taylor structures and demanding entirely new operator frameworks. This talk introduces a novel $q$-translation formula, explores its underlying $q$-calculus principles, and demonstrates its powerful applications in the study of $q$-series.
