In the afternoon of May 12th, an exchange activity was held at the UNESCO Teacher Education Center, featuring a delegation from the Uzbekistan Ministry of Pre-school and Primary Secondary Education. The delegation, led by Minister Ezoqhon Karimova of the Uzbekistan Ministry of Pre-school and Primary Secondary Education, included the Director of the Department of Strategic Development, the Director of the Department of International Relations, and the Director of the Department of Investment and Funding Program Coordination. The SHNU Vice President Professor Li Guojuanattended the event.
Li expressed in her speech the hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to deepen mutual learning and cooperation with Uzbekistan in areas such as teacher training and curriculum development, jointly promoting the high-quality development of basic education in both countries.
Ezokhon Karimova introduced Uzbekistan's policy measures and developmental achievements in preschool education, primary and secondary school curriculum reforms, and teachers’development. She expressed the hope of establishing a regular dialogue platform to facilitate diverse exchanges such as teacher exchanges and project collaborations.
Zhang Minxuan, Director of SHNU UNESCO TEC(Teacher Education Center), pointed out that the United Nations Education and Training Center, as an international platform for teacher education exchange, has consistently been committed to promoting mutual learning and collaborative development of global educational experiences.
During the subsequent discussion session, the Uzbek delegation provided a detailed overview of the country's issues and cooperation intentions in areas such as the implementation of educational policies, the teacher training system, and the improvement of basic education quality.
