On May 13th, the opening ceremony for the 2026 "International Museum Day (May 18th) Thematic Week" and the awarding ceremony for the first "Little Docents" competition at Shanghai Normal University's Museum were held in the lobby of the Eastern Art Building on the Xuhui Campus. Cao Guangming, a member of the SHNU Party Committee Standing Committee and Chief Accountant, along with award-winning students from the "Little Docents" competition and representatives of international students from various countries, attended the ceremony.

Cao Guangming believes that university museums should leverage their rich collections to integrate into education and cultivate a sense of national identity and humanistic qualities among young students. This year's theme is "Museums: Bridging the World," serving as both a profound interpretation of the era's value of museums and a heartfelt call to the global cultural heritage community.

From May 13th to 19th, the university museum organized a series of activities, including visiting and checking in for intangible cultural heritage experiences, guided tours, an intangible cultural heritage bazaar, museum therapy lectures, calligraphy workshops for Chinese and international students, specialized lectures, and an exhibition of psychological science illustrations.

Following the launch ceremony, the "Museum Imprint Journey" event was held, featuring visits, check-ins, and intangible cultural heritage experiences. The participants were engaged in hands-on activities such as painting bookmarks, sketching, seal carving, traditional Chinese painting, and calligraphy.
