On May 31st, the 2025-2026 Shanghai Collegiate Track and Field "Alliance Cup" concluded successfully at the Minhang Campus of East China Normal University. Four physical education teacher-training students from SHNU School of Sports Science competed fiercely, securing the gold medal in the men's Group A 4×100-meter relay with an outstanding result of 41.19 seconds, setting a new record of SHNU. This marks the first time in over two decades that our university has claimed the championship in a municipal collegiate track and field relay competition.
This event was hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, bringing together nearly 40 universities and over 600 athletes from across the city on the same stage. Strong teams from prestigious institutions such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Tongji University, and East China Normal University participated, with many opponents being high-level athletes specializing in sports training, making the competition exceptionally intense.
This victory marks not only the first triumph in over two decades of relay events but also the best testament to the unwavering dedication of the entire team over a decade of relentless effort.
