On May 23rd, the founding conference of the Shanghai Normal University(SHNU) Alumni Association in France was held at the auditorium of the Olympiade campus of the Paris School of Business(PSB). Representatives from sister alumni associations, including those from Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Nanjing Tech University, and Zhengzhou University, attended the ceremony alongside our SHNU French alumni.
Cao Guangming, the Chief Accountant of SHNU, on behalf of the university, extended warm congratulations to the French Alumni Association for its official opening. Shi Dawei, President of the French Alumni Association, reported the preparatory work of the association and expressed gratitude for the strong support from the alma mater and alumni across various colleges.
Sun Tao, President of the European Alumni Association of Renmin University of China, Overseas Member of the Legal Advisory Committee of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and Honorary President of the Chinese Lawyers Association of France; Chen Li, President of the French Alumni Association of Wuhan University; Zhong Yueru, President of the French Alumni Association of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; Yu Yang, Head of the Preparatory Committee of European Alumni Association Affiliated to Zhengzhou University in Henan Province and Former Chairman of the All-France Chinese Graduate Students Association; and Liu Fang, President of the New Zealand Alumni Association of Shanghai Normal University, attended to extend their congratulations. They shared their experiences and distinctive practices in overseas alumni associations, covering organizational development, alumni networking, warm-hearted services, and international exchanges. They also expressed their anticipation for strengthening inter-alumni organization learning and mutual reference, deepening resource sharing and practical cooperation, jointly supporting Sino-French educational and cultural exchanges, and working together to create a new chapter in overseas alumni work.
Cao Guangming presented the flag to the French Alumni Association of SHNU and issued appointment certificates to the first group of key leaders of the French Alumni Association.
The French Alumni Association is the sixth overseas alumni association established by SHNU, serving as a valuable force in advancing the internationalization of our alma mater and fostering cultural exchanges between China and France.
