On December 17th, Chinese traditional Spring Festival was celebrated at CI (Confucius Institute) of University of Missouri (MU) and attended by Mun Y. Choi, President of MU and his wife. The University Club Chinese Year celebrations include special show of CI and party of Chinese foods.
Chinese Qigong dances, Zheng (a 21-or 25-stringed plucked instrument similar to the zither), Kongfu fan dances and Chinese minority dances won applauds from the audiences.
Also, Columbia Friends of China Celebrations were presented on February 12th and Mild-Missouri Chinese Association New Year Party was held on February 17th. The Dean of CI of MU Sang Kim and Chinese Dean Liu Lan sent their New Year wishes to over 220 audiences.
