The 4th Shanghai Micro-movie Festival was held at No. 1 Hall of Shanghai Grand Cinema, the Story of SHNU Insects Research Team won silver prize. The story narrated how SHNU Professor Li Lizhen led the research team to open the door to the world of entomology.
Ever since last June, the shooting plan of the story has been put on table and gone through several revisions. It took about half a year to be completed. The video showed how professor Li organized researchers to explore the insect species in the field and tried to reduce the use of pesticide to ensure the food security.
Founded in 2003, the SHNU Insect Research Team boasted over 200, 000 species (specimen included), more than 50, 000 ecological photos and about 650 new insect species.
