The list of Newly-added Diploma Conferring Posts was released and SHNU Master of Astronomy was among the First Level Disciplines to be approved by China Diploma Commission of the State Council.
The SHNU Discipline of Astronomy was founded in 2004, and SHNU thus became one of the earliest universities in Shanghai that would establish such a discipline. With the main research direction of cosmology and galaxies, the SHNU Discipline of Astronomy has become one of the most important bases of Chinese astronomic research talents.
