Recently, the SHNU research team led by Qiao Yongli published a paper with the title MEDIATOR SUBUNIT 16 negatively regulates rice immunity by modulating PATHOGENESIS RELATED 3 activity at Plant Physiology after studying and assessing spl38, a Lesion mimic mutant of paddy crops and indicating that OsMED16（mediator subunit 16) can be an important factor of mortality rate and disease-resistance quality of paddy cells.
SHNU professor Qiao Yongli is the correspondence author of the paper which is funded by NSFC, Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
