The Celebration for International Students kicked off in waves of hot exotic dances on January 16th. More than 500 international teachers and students from 80 countries joined the celebration party in the hall of the Teaching Building No. 4 or watched the performance online.
Jiang Mingjun, SHNU Vice President, expressed his sincere New Year wishes to the attendants and spectators and hoped that they could experience more of the glamour and vigour while learning at SHNU.
Beautiful songs and enthusiastic dances were presented by students from Mozambique, Benin, Nepal, Samoa, Madagascar, Fiji, Burkina Faso, Mongolia, Germany, Cuba, Vietnam, Botswana, Togo, Indonesia and other countries. A student from Kazakhstan made video clips for the New Year celebration by a student from Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, displays of Chinese traditional calligraphy, and poem recitals by students from Mongolia, Russia and Korea also conquered the audiences. The performance of Chinese Nanquan and Nandao Kongfu by students from Cuba won him the hearts of the audiences.
The celebration culminated at the international costume show by students from about 20 countries. They delivered their fond wishes for the coming New Year in their own native tongues.
At last, all the international students were presented New Year Gift Packs by SHNU and the celebration drew to a close in merriness and festivity.
