As the first play that was selected by Shanghai Municipal Education Committee to be performed on university campuses this year, Hua Mu Lan, an original play created by Xie Jin Film and Television Art College, began its first performance in Shanghai Finance College on April 13. Upholding patriotism, the play uses body language to tell stories: red cloth means war flames, red cloth is a gurgling stream… all the inspiring scenes will get you into thinking and imagining. Student audience said they felt so near to the performers as they were both university students. It is said the play will be further staged in Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Shanghai Institute of Technology. |
