The 2nd East Asian Teacher’s Education Forum was held in East China Normal University (ECNU) and Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) on November 17th and 18th respectively. SHNU President Li Jin, Vice President Li Hexing and other department leaders attended the forum.
Li Jin made a theme speech titled Constant Efforts on Innovation and Development of Teacher Education, in which he briefed on the achievements made by our university in promoting teacher education development, our future prospect and objectives. Li said that we boast our relatively sound development of teacher education center, 3+3 new cultivation modes, teacher training center, and modern university president research center. Currently, we aim at becoming a pivotal base for cultivating school presidents throughout China. Over 30 experts and scholars from Japan Gakugei Univesity, Nara Education University, Osaka Education University, ROK Kongju National University, and China’s Beijing Normal University, Northwest University, Central China Normal University, Southwest University, Northeast Normal University, Shaanxi Normal University, Guangxi Normal University, and East China Normal University. The discussion of the forum was centered on the theme of “Pioneering in Sustainable Development of Teacher Education”. Also, the 1st International Consultation Meeting of Teacher Training in East Asia was held during the two days. |
