On November 16, a delegation of 6 led by Dr. Huang Qingchao, Vice President of the Normal University of Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, and Dr. Jia Wenqiang, Director of Chinese Language Department, paid a visit to our university. They were warmly received by Lu Jianfei, Vice President of SHNU, and both sides compared notes on university operation and development.
Since the two universities share similarities in scales, history and objectives, etc, both extended their wishes to carry out interscholastic cooperation and exchanges, and signed cooperation memorandum. Also, the Vietnamese guests were shown around the College of Chinese Studies of SHNU for consulting more on the cooperation. The Normal University of Ho Chi Minh City is one of the two key normal universities in Vietnam, training teachers for senior high schools across Ho Chi Minh City and even the whole southern Vietnam. Currently, it boasts of over 20,000 students, more than 20 departments, with majors covering various disciplines of liberal arts, science and engineering. |
