SHNU: Our university held an alumni discussion meeting on Oct. 13 to celebrate her 53rd founding anniversary. About 100 alumni from different walks of life in Shanghai were present. School leaders Zhou Honggang, Li Jin, Ruan Xingshu, Jiang Weiyi, Huang Gang, Xiang Jiaxiang, Zhang Guofeng, Yang Weiwu, Li Hexing, Wang Lianhua and Gao Jianhua as well as the leaders from colleges and departments were present at the discussion meeting. In the meeting, school leaders extended their heartfelt gratitude to the alumni for their help and hoped that they would provide more support to our university and thereby contribute to the economic and educational development of Shanghai. Alumni put forward many valuable suggestions on how to develop our university, and aired their views on the work of the alumni association. After discussion, they decided that alumni associations such as those about culture, education, enterprises, the Party and the government administration should be established to strengthen communication so that more contribution could be done to the development of our university. |
