SHNU, Sep 10: The Chinese homepage of SHNU was revised and the English homepage launched this afternoon in celebration of the 23rd Teachers’ Day. Vice President Lu Jianfei presided over the ceremony, Secretary of CPC Committee Zhou Honggang clicked to open the new Chinese homepage and President Li Jin opened the English homepage. Also present were representatives of excellent teacher, teachers with over 30 years’ teaching standing, and leaders from related departments. The university authority attaches great importance to the construction of its Chinese and English web pages. The Chinese web page has gone through many discussion and long deliberations before taking on a new face. Ideas from teachers and students as to how to make improvements on the web page were collected online. The revised Chinese homepage has more columns to facilitate its users, while the new English homepage will synchronize with the Chinese one in releasing corresponding news and notices. The purpose of the English web page is to let foreign people know more about our university, and to help in recruiting international students. |
