On October 24th, Ms. Beatrice Camp, the newly-appointed American Consul General in Shanghai, invited 7 university presidents in Shanghai to the reception dinner held in American Consulate in Shanghai. SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei attended the reception on behalf of the university. Ms. Camp reviewed the glorious history of exchanges and cooperation among universities in China and US before she expressed wishes for further strengthening the relations in various fields. Lu Jianfei thanked what all the predecessors of consuls general had done in support of SHNU’s work concerning foreign affairs, and welcomed American experts from all walks of life to visit SHNU, to lecture and teach here.
