Summer Seminar of 2008 SGS for International Students Kicks off

       On the morning of August 4th, Summer Seminar of 2008 Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) for International Students was held in Shanghai Normal University. Sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Government and organized by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the seminar will involve around 20 students from 5 Japanese universities in Yokohama and Osaka, etc., for a one-month term of Chinese language and culture study program, accompanied with a tour of Shanghai and some scenic spots of Suzhou in southern China.
      Marking the 30th anniversary of Sino-Japanese Peace and Friendship Treaty (1978), this year also happens to be the one for Sino-Japanese Youth Friendship Exchanges. This seminar aims to facilitate the educational exchanges of the sister cities of Shanghai and Osaka.
      The seminar was hosted by leaders from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and SHNU President Li Jin delivered a gracious speech on the ceremony, and so did the general consul of Japanese Consulate in Shanghai.
