Professor of Philosophy of Hawaii University Engaged as Part-time Professor of SHNU

 

SHNU: On July 21, Cheng Zhongying, professor of philosophy of University of Hawaii University and

doctor of Harward University, was received by SHNU President Li Jin and engaged as a part-time

professor and Ph.D. supervisor of SHNU.

    Li introduced the disciplinae construction of SHNU to Prof. Cheng and expressed his hope that Cheng

would make his due contributions to the discipline development of philosophy. Prof. Cheng aired his

own views on such topics as the social responsibility of institutions of higher learning, disciplinary

innovation, etc.

    Relevant staff from the College of Law and Politics and the Department of Postgraduate Affairs of

SHNU were present at the meeting.
