SHNU Delegation of Women Professors Go to Japan for Cultural Communication

SHNU: A SHNU delegation headed by Wu Xiaqin, director of SHNU Women’s Commission, visited Nagasaki as part of the 11th Sino-Japanese cultural communication activities.

    The delegation paid a visit to mayor of Nagasaki and held a conversation on folk communication between Chinese and Japanese people. They visited the Japan College of Foreign Languages and the two sides reached an agreement of further cooperation. The delegation also went to the National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims and presented flowers to the Chinese who were killed in the disaster.

    On July 12, Fan Ying, Vice Director of Women’s Commission and professor from the College of Humanities and Communications of SHNU made a report entitled “Etiquette Education of China in the New Century”. Over 100 Japanese citizens attended the meeting and some of them donated money to the quake victims of Sichuan province.

    The women’s society in Nagasaki gave SHNU delegation a warm welcome, which showed their hospitality to the Chinese people. The two sides agreed that the 12th cultural communication activities would be held in SHNU next September.
