SHNU Nursery Volunteers Kick it off in Ruijin Hospital

          On June 21st, Dean of Applied Psychology Department of College of Education and other leaders and teachers of SHNU pioneered the delegation of 18 to Ruijin Hospital, a renowned local hospital of Shanghai, for TLC (tender loving care) volunteers’ treatment with those traumatized in the Wenchuan earthquake of Sichuan province.
          18 student volunteers dispersed themselves in different wards, conversing with patients while smiles and warmth reigned. The official care program shall be initiated on June 28th, with one-to-one treatment over weekends lasting 1 or 2 hours for each time. A weekly summary meeting shall be held in which professors of psychology will lecture about caring tactics and especial guidance cases for student volunteers to hone their skills.
