SHNU：On April 5, 207 candidates who distinguished themselves from 1870 students in written examination were interviewed, and 100 of them would become the first batch of free-charge would-be-teacher students of our university this year. The interview consisted of two parts: in the first part, the candidates’ manner, speech delivery, reading and writing abilities were estimated by the experts; in the second part, candidates were divided into several groups (about 6 or 7 people in one group) and required to have a discussion on chosen topics, and they were scored in line with their performance on 6 aspects: expressiveness, analyzing ability, interpersonal cooperation, planning, confidence and coordination. The whole process of interview was recorded for careful examination. The scoring standards were discussed both before and after the interview to ensure that the performance of each and every candidate was fairly judged.
