According to the statistics of Asset Management Department, we have already made remarkable achievements in energy-saving endeavor across the campus during the past year by bringing advanced technology into full play.
Last year witnessed the installation of 75 infrared toilets, with annual water consumption of 280,000 tons reduced to 19,000 tons, a total cost fall of RMB 599,000 Yuan. With intelligent water saving devices put into place, the three dormitories for teaching staff boast a yearly slump of water expenditures of RMB 19,000 Yuan. To tackle water leakage, 124 gauges were installed to record the water use, and 12 recessive leaking locations have been remedied, saving an annual water consumption of 50,000 tons worthy of RMB114,000 Yuan. Also, electricity saving devices are in place to ensure an average 25% cut of consumption. For a year, 350,000 kw-hr worth of RMB300, 000 yuan has been saved.
