SHNU: On June 3, a delegation of 6 led by Dr. William Arthur Meehan, President of Jacksonville State University (JSU) visited SHNU, and was received by Li Jin, SHNU President, and Lu Jianfei, SHNU Vice President, among others.
A cooperative frame contract was signed concerning the program of 1+2+1 (the first and last year to spend in SHNU and the rest two in JSU) for undergraduates, and 1+1 or 1+1.5 (the time to spend in SHNU and JSU) for postgraduates. As a public university with a long history, JSU was founded in 1883. Now it claims almost 10,000 students, including 1,500 postgraduates. It was recommended as one of the best in south US by an authoritative magazine News and World Report in 2008. (Editted by Rebecca) |
