Delegation from Wageningen University of Dutch Visits SHNU

SHNU: From May 18 to 20, a delegation from Wageningen University of Dutch, including 2 professors and 16 doctoral candidates majoring in Organic Chemistry, visited SHNU at its invitation. A bilateral academic meeting on chemistry was held on May 19, and SHNU Vice Presidents Lu Jianfei and Li Hexing attended the meeting.
    Doctoral candidates from both universities exchanged academic ideas and Professor Zuilhof from Wageningen University delivered a keynote speech. Attendants of the meeting had a heated discussion on catalyzing and organic chemistry.
    During the visit, the two sides reached initial cooperation intentions on such areas as jointly applying for scientific research programs, cultivating graduate students and publishing academic papers.
 
The following is a brief introduction of Wageningen University:
    Wageningen University was established in 1918 and was the successor of the Agricultural School founded in 1876.
    Wageningen University provides education and generates knowledge in the field of life sciences and natural resources. Wageningen UR aims to make a real contribution  to our quality of life.
    The university has about 6,000 students from 98 countries. Its core business concern is life and agricultural sciences.
