SHNU:On April 29th, over 1,200 SHNU students bedecked themselves in volunteer uniforms for 2010 World Expo and formed an icon of EXPO with their both hands stretching toward the towering sky. As one year’s countdown of Shanghai Expo is drawing near, the program for recruiting volunteers has been initiated, which happens to be the earliest to do so among the 72 counterparts. SHNU party secretary and SHNU vice presidents arrived on the scene and left their fond wishes on the signing board for the Expo. Hordes of students have come all the way to be registered for the Expo volunteers. In the last two days, approximately 5,000 students applied for expo volunteers via their colleges or internet.
