SHNU:Cosponsored by SHNU College of Women Culture, 2009 Oriental Girls’ Festival kicked off at the Shanghai Changfeng Ecological Quay on March 29th. It was also funded by Shanghai Cultural Development Fundation, Shanghai Education Development Foundation, Putuo Bureau of Culture, and other commercial companies.
Leaders of Shanghai CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Women’s Federation, and some writers attended the festival. The opening ceremony is divided into two parts, Interactive Corridor Show of Innovation at Ecological Garden, and Salon Show of Life History of Shanghai Women.
In the March sun rays, the attendants shared their experiences and joys of creation, and launched a fantastic fashion show of Qipao（well-trimmed Chinese traditional long gowns）.
