SHNU: On December 7, the 2008 World Tourism Image Ambassador Contest (Northeast China Area) was held in Bailian Shopping Mall. Meng Lina, an English major from the Institution of Tourism of SHNU won the first place in the contest and would enter for the final competition on behalf of contestants in the Northeast China. The grand final of the 2008 World Tourism Image Ambassador Contest will be hosted by Asia-pacific Tourism organization（APTO）aiming at promoting China’s communication and cooperation with other countries in tourism and culture.
