The 16th Leyan Cup Shanghai Chemical Experiment Contest and Opening Ceremony of Innovative Design Contest were held at Lecture Hall B201 on Fengxian Campus of SHNU on November 2nd. It was attended by SHNU Vice President Li Ye, Director of Shanghai Chemical Experiment Education Committee Liu Honglai, Vice Director of China Chemical Experiment Innovative Design Contest (East China Region) Sun Xingwen, Secretary General of Shanghai Chemical Experiment Education Directing Committee Xiong Yan, and representatives from SHNU Department of Education Affairs, SHNU Department of Asset and Lab Management, and SHNU College of Chemistry and Material Science.
Sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, SHNU and Shanghai Chemical Experiment Education Committee for Universities, the contest involved hundreds of candidates from about 19 universities across China as well as 20 experiment innovative design teams. The contest aims at promoting the education reforms of chemical experiment education for universities at Delta region and exploring innovative means to cultivate chemical talents at New Age. It acts as an exchange and display platform for university students’ innovation skills and their expertise to discover, analyse and solve by strengthening their fundamental knowledge and basis theories.
