SHNU：Distinguished book reviewer Gu Wenhao, doctoral candidate of Fudan University, gave a lecture themed “Reading, Your Scope Determines Your World” on October 23.
Gu got to know student’s reading purpose by questioning the students present. The whole lecture started with his idea “You Yourself is the One Who Accompanies You the Longest in the World”. He told the students to find themselves through continuous reading and to replenish their life from books during campus life. Meanwhile, he shared some of his favorite poetic works with the students.
Gu mentioned that contemporary students generally lacked thinking materials. He analyzed the reason causing this phenomenon and commented current social hot spots. Ingeniously, he gave solutions to students’ puzzles by using vivid examples. He encouraged students to do more reading, hoping they could find pleasure through the process rather than taking reading too seriously.
