SHNU: In the meeting held on June 23, Yu Mingli, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, announced that Zhu Ziqiang would hold the post of SHNU President and Zhang Minxuan is no longer the SHNU President for the reason of age.
Former SHNU President Zhang Minxuan recalled his work in SHNU with emotions, saying he was thankful for the University for giving him the platform of growing and becoming excellent. Zhang gave best wishes to the future of SHNU. Zhu Ziqiang said he felt broader responsibilities as the new president and that he hoped a more vigorous and brilliant university could be built with the efforts of SHNU faculty.
SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei expressed gratitude for the excellent work of Zhang and showed warm welcome to Zhu, saying all the members of the leading group of SHNU would fully support the work of Prof. Zhu the new president. Lu also said the university would promote its healthy and sustainable development under the leadership of Shanghai Municipal Government and Party Committee.
