SHNU: This August, 9 SHNU young teachers wound up their summer learning program of teachers education in the US and returned to Shanghai. The teachers from various SHNU Colleges studied at the University of South Carolina (USC) and the University of Missouri (UM) in the four-week program.
Annually, two teams made up of 5 teachers each would be dispatched for training overseas in order to strengthen their international vision, English communications skills, international academic norms and professional abilities. The USC program involved spontaneous learning, effective discussions, reflective education and innovation education, etc.
The UM program included English academic writing, interactive courses, contemporary culture of America and education seminars. Particularly, academic English writing compose a large proportion in this training.
