Finnish Kimmo Stages Accordion Concert

SHNU: Kimmo Pohjonen, a state artist of Finland, and special guest of Finland Pavilion of 2010 Shanghai World Expo, is crowned as adventurer of hard organs and noted for his innovation in music creations and performance forms.

After kicking off his debut in European Square of expo on May 27^th, Kimmo started his another merging show of accordion and electronic music at one of the halls in SHNU, as a program of SHNU International Music Season.

Taking advantage of spectacular skills of MIDI, Kimmo fused impromptu melodies into pre-recorded rhythmic LOOP, and thus presented a mix of folk songs and avant-garde lab musical effects, for instance, a synthesis of tractor engines and noises of hard organs per se.
