2017 Sino-African Education Forum Held in SHNU

SHNU: The Africa-China-World Bank Education Partnership Forum was held at SHNU International and Comparative Education Institute on July 15th. This is the third part of it, since the first two sessions were held at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Jiaotong University on July 11th and 15th. Hosted by Director of SHNU International and Comparative Education Research Institute Zhang Minxuan, the conference involved 12 scholars to speak, including Dr. Liang Xiaoyan, Chief Education Expert of World Bank, and those from Rwanda, Tanzania, Ghana, Benin, Senegal, and Malawi, etc.
 
Zhang Minxuan introduced about the performances of Shanghai primary school presidents and teachers with the theme TALIS and Teacher Professional Development China. In the following experience sharing among African countries, Professor Lakhan Lal Yadav delivered the speech Science and Mathematics Education in Africa: Experience from Rwanda in which he talked about the math and scientific education of African countries south of Sahara Desert.
Meanwhile, representatives from various nations explored possibilities of cooperation with SHNU. Also, the World Bank (WB) expert Liang Xiaoyan also hoped that the WB could facilitate the spreading of Shanghai primary education experience to Africa and promote mutual development.
