SHNU: The two-week long Summer Camp of Confucius Institute (CI) of UM wound up on July 16th. Sponsored by China National Hanban and CI headquarters, UM and SHNU, 19 teachers and students from high schools of Columbia, Missouri attended the activity.
The camp members were encouraged to permeate into a different culture through learning a different language and experience Chinese culture while watching a true picture of China during the two weeks.
The American high school students were also arranged to attend courses of martial arts, Chinese traditional medicine and folk music. Also, they were shown around some scenic spots of Shanghai, explored ancient Chinese garden arts in Suzhou, as well as visited CI headquarters in Beijing.
