SHNU: On the occasion of 60th anniversary of Shanghai International Studies Association (SISA), 7 renowned scholars of foreign languages won the award of Shanghai Lifetime Achievement, including Cidong Huang, professor of SHNU College of Foreign Languages.
As a long-term professor of SHNU, Huang has contributed a lot to Chinese foreign language education. He studied abroad in the UK in 1978 and won the master’s degree of linguistics and English education at Newcastle University in 1980. He was awarded for bring up linguistic theories influencing one generation after another. He also received merits for his English education and research. He is regarded as the practitioner of model teachers and serves as the paragon for young scholars.
A new round of members of SISA has been elected: Zhaoguo Li, Dean of SHNU College of Foreign Languages shall be the standing member of SISA directors. Another three SHNU professors shall be SISA members.
