SHNU：The Agreement Signing Ceremony of Education Cooperation between SHNU and the University of Missouri (MU) was held at Memoral Union Reception Hall of the UM on September 23rd. With the witness of Liu Jun, the Vice Consul-General of Chinese Consulate in Chicago, the SHNU Vice President Ge Weihua signed the agreement with James Scott, the Vice President of MU. It was also attended by teachers’ representatives and some others from the two universities. That day also marks the fifth anniversary of Confucius Institute (namely CI), which is cosponsored by SHNU and the MU). James was quotes as saying that the SHNU visit team deserves all the welcome and he feels honored to cooperate with SHNU for establishing the CI. During the anniversary celebrations, the SHNU teams were shown around the Chinese language education classrooms and volunteers of teachers and students working for the CI there. Cultural exchanges were made between the two universities, which attracted the attention of local media. |
