SHNU: On Oct 27th, the MOA Signing Ceremony of Shanghai Normal University and University of California, Santa Cruz was held at SHNU Department of International Affairs. At first, Zhu, the Principal of SHNU gave warm welcome to the visitors, and gave a brief introduction to the history, present situation, as well as the worldwide cooperation of SHNU, with the sincere hope of strengthening the intercollegiate cooperation of both sides. The delegate of UCSC also introduced their condition and achievements of natural science research, such as mathematics, physics, astronomy, as well as the projects of intercollegiate cooperation, encouraging more foreign students, especially Chinese students to study there, with generous scholarship. At last, Zhu gave a high appraisal to the development of mutual cooperation, and the signing ceremony was held in a success.
The signing ceremony is only a beginning, while both universities have confidence in the mutual cooperation in the days to come. Furthermore, this signing is a historical moment of both universities, indicating that the global exchanges of our school will be more extensive and more frequent, which will have a great significance to the future development of our school.
