SHNU Teacher Invited to UN Committee on the Status of Women (CSW)

The 63th CSW (Committee on the Status of Women) of the United Nations was held in New York, the Headquarters of the UN. The conference focus on the rights and interests of women and young girls across the world and aims at providing more reasonable social security system. The participants include women leaders and outstanding females. Xing Haiyan, teacher from SHNU College of Philosophy and Political Sciences, attended the conference as one representative from the Asia Region.

  

On behalf of Pacific Rim Institute for Development and Education (PRIDE), Xing delivered a speech Dialogue between Older Women in Cross-cultural Perspective: countries, nations and regions. She also spoke at another forum with the title The Role of Development Education Regarding the Impact of Sustainable Development on Women and Girls.
