The International Symposium on Gender History and Women Studies was held at SHNU Conference Center on December 8th. Sponsored by SHNU Discipline of World History and SHNU Center of Women Studies, the conference attracted over 100 representatives from various news media, journals and publishing houses.
Such themes were discussed: situations of Chinese women and gender history research since the opening and reforms of China, theories of women and gender history and gender relations of Chinese and overseas history.
Group discussions were held concerning the women of Chinese and overseas history and gender history, followed by the discussion on women and national relations the next morning.
