The 17th Awarding Ceremony of Math Modeling Contest for Chinese Postgraduates was held at East China University of Science and Technology from April 23rd to 25th. The SHNU candidates won 1 first prize, 25 second prizes and 48 third prizes, with the total ranking of 14 among all candidates in China. The contest attracted 17, 219 teams from 496 universities and research institutes.
Since last May, 492 SHNU postgraduate candidates made up 164 teams to compete and the first prize went to those from SHNU College of Mathematics, Science and Engineering. A series of preparation work has been guaranteed by SHNU for these candidates to achieve better success: the workshop on which previous winners sharing their experience of preparation, online scholars’ lectures and online training from SHNU professional teachers.
