Ever since September 2020, a program on Foods Waste Reduction and Saving Habits Promotion has been called upon among over 3 million teachers and students from about 3, 400 universities. A trend of waste elimination and advocacy on thrift has now become all the fashion on SHNU campus.
According to that program, a smaller-sized or half-sized dish are now planned to promote saving habits among the diners, accompanied with upgrading the service and improving the tastes. The cloud canteen of SHNU aims at optimizing the food provision structure of teachers and students with the aid of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
The representatives have also been selected to visit other schools of Shanghai to stop the amount of food wastes.
