SHNU Awarding Ceremony for Celebrating 114th Women’s Day

On the afternoon of March 7th, the Shanghai Normal University Commemoration of the 114th Anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8th) was held in the multifunctional hall of the Jiaoyuan Building. The participants included Lin Zaiyong, SHNU Secretary of Party Committee, Zhang Yejiang, Deputy Secretary of SHNU Party Committee, Yang Haiyan, Deputy Secretary of the SHNU Party Committee, Jiang Mingjun, SHNU Vice President, and Li Ye, SHNU Vice President.

The Party Secretary of the School, Mr. Lin Zaiyong, extends his greetings and best wishes to the female faculty and staff, as well as female students, on this festival. He warmly congratulates the advanced collectives and individuals who have been recognized and awarded. He also expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the leaders at all levels, women cadres, and female faculty who have shown care and support for the women's work of the school.

National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference member and school principal Yuan Wen, who is attending the Two Sessions in Beijing, presented Phalaenopsis orchids to women colleagues as a gesture of holiday greetings and best wishes.

Yang Haiyan, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, announced the awarding list of outstanding female staff members and students.

The staff dance team performed the opening dance “Good time”; Tan Tianjia and Li Songtao, the nominees for the Shanghai Education System Model Couple Award, sang a duet song of “So Many People in this World”. Also, a poetry recitation of “March, We Sing for ourselves” were presented. 

After the meeting, the school leaders took a group photo with the award winners. Our women's organization will unite all female faculty and students across the school, further invigorate ourselves, and work with a more open and innovative mindset and wisdom and diligence to make new and greater contributions to accelerating the construction of a high-level university with distinctive characteristics in teacher education.
