The 2023 Annual Shanghai Conference of Plant Molecular Science was held at SHNU Key Laboratory of Plant Molecular Science on December 17th and attended by such academicians from China Academy of Science as Xu Zhihong, Chen Xiaoya, Lin Hongxuan, Cao Xiaofeng, Zhong Kang, He Zuhua, SHNU President Yuan Wen, Vice SHNU Party Secretary Yang Haiyan, SHNU Vice President Li Ye and other researchers of the key lab.
The general development of the Shanghai Key Lab of Plant Molecular Science was introduced, including the latest scientific progress achieved in 2023. Particularly, Professor Yang Zhongnan reported on the innovative development of a new Photothermosensitive mutant in rice paddy and a new component of sporopollenin; Professor Yang Hongquan concerned about a molecular mechanism promoting DNA double-strand break repair (DSBR) by blue light receptor CRY; Besides, effective gene analyses in crossbred corns, and mapping of high throughput visualization electron during corn-grouting period.
Moreover, the Tianneng Scholarship, founded by SHNU Key Lab and Shanghai Tianneng Science and Technology Co.,ltd, was awarded to students standing out in scientific research and innovative competitions.
