International Symposium on Sino-Spanish Cultural Economy and Policies Held in SHNU

The 14th Oriental Girls’ Festival and the 2nd International Symposium on Sino-Spanish Cultural Economy and Policies were held in SHNU on April 20th and 21st. Themed Gender, City and Culture, the symposium aims at promoting international exchanges and cooperation in terms of cultural economy and policy research.

It was attended by SHNU Vice President Chen Heng, Vice President of Shanghai Women’s Federation Li Rong, and Spanish Business Counselor in Shanghai AlfonsoNoriega. The Oriental Women’s Festival dates back to the March 3rd Shangsi Festival in Chinese lunar calendar with a history of over 2, 000 years. This year, the festival incorporated academic dialogue with cultural exchanges and enhanced the significance of international cultural and academic exchanges.

It has two parts: expert discussion and youth scholars’ forum and involves dozens of participants from China, Spain, Columbia, Chili and Netherlands to exchange their ideas on relevant topics.
